Rahu Kalsarpa Shanti is performed when all seven planets in a person's horoscope are hemmed between Rahu and Ketu. This dosha can cause obstacles in career, health, and personal life. The shanti pooja at Trimbakeshwar is considered the most authentic and effective remedy.
The ritual takes approximately 4 hours, starting around 8:00 AM, and involves specific mantras, homa (sacred fire ritual), and offerings to appease Rahu.
New clothes worn during the pooja must be LEFT BEHIND after the ritual. They cannot be taken home. This is a mandatory requirement — please plan accordingly and do not bring expensive clothing for the pooja.
Arrive the night before your pooja date. Accommodation is available nearby for approximately ₹600–800 per room.
New clothes are required for the pooja. These clothes are worn ONLY during the ritual and MUST be left behind afterward — they cannot be taken home. Please bring simple, moderately priced new clothing. Clothes are available locally.
Food is provided on the day of the pooja only. Dinner the previous night is at your own arrangement.
