Sacred ritual to provide peace to ancestral souls at Trimbakeshwar, one of the 12 Jyotirlingas.
Tripindi Shraddha is a sacred ritual performed to appease the souls of three generations of ancestors (Pind Dan). It is specifically recommended when the family has not been performing regular annual Shraddha ceremonies, or when there are signs of ancestral dissatisfaction affecting the family's well-being.
The ritual takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours and is performed in the morning at Trimbakeshwar under the guidance of Guruji Mangesh Joshi.
New clothes are required for the pooja. These clothes CANNOT be reworn after the ritual — they must be left behind. Please bring simple, moderately priced new clothing.
Every month's Amavasya (new moon) or Krishna Chaturdashi is also an auspicious time for Tripindi Shraddha, independent of the specific muhurat dates listed below.
Arrive the evening before your pooja date. Accommodation is available nearby for approximately ₹600–800 per room.
